Default I'm driving to SCC Jamestown from San Diego 11/18/05

I 'm going to visit my husband in Jamestown for the first time. Does any one have any recomendations as to inexpensive hotels near by? Any other tips for a first timer? I would appreciate any and all comments!
Thank You....

Try checking in Oakdale (about 1/2 hour away) or Sonora (15 minutes or so away). There are Bed and Breakfasts in Jamestown (a few minutes away.

Default Let Me know if you want company for the long drive!

Hi! My guy is also at Jamestown and has been for over 15 months, and it is really almost impossible for me to find a way to get to see him and I live in San Diego too! If you want someone to ride with and share expenses I would be too happy to be able to go too!! PM , ok? If not I respect that! Can't blame a woman for trying, I'm sure most can relate!

Thanks for your response! I would be happy to help you see your honey! 15 months is LONG time, I can imagine what you must be going through! I get butterflies in my stomach when I think about finally being able to see my husband! And it's he has only been in since July 22, 2005! The butterflies are partially from excitement and also from being nervous! I hate not knowing what to expect! Sometimes the visiting guards are horrible! I never know what to wear, how early to get there etc....! The first visit is usually the hardest, then once you know how they work, it gets a little better eachtime after! This is my first time to Jamestown, but not my first visit ever!
