Default Informal Probation

I know when you are on formal probation, you have to have the ok from your probation officer to get visitation approval. Can some one tell me if you can be ok'd if on Informal (probation) with or without permission from your PO?

You'll have to send a copy of your court docket along with your visiting form, to show that you're on Informal probation.

Default actually

The reason why I ask. I am on formal probation now. My PO said I could be getting off in a couple of months. I want to believe her, because this is the first time she has ever mentioned anything about this. My best friend is locked up and I was wondering if I have a chance of being approved (w/o an OK from the PO). My court papers, now, say formal. How will that work if probation changes me to informal?
