Hello all, I'm new at this. I want to go visit a friend at Desert View MCCF in Adelanto, CA. I was wondering if anyone knows how visitor's get approved and how long it takes? If you could help I would appreciate it. Thank you
First thing to get visiting started, you will need to fill out a CDC 106 form. Please make sure to fill it out completely and truthfully. Especially question 12. Detainments are just as important as arrests. People have been disapproved, cause they thought it wasn't anything important. Then the CDC thinks you are not being truthful. Once you are approved, away you go to visit your loved one. If you are on probation, then you will need approval from you PO. Hopefully you are not. Good Luck!
Your loved one has to send you the visiting form. He has to sign it before he sends it to you. Make sure you fill it out completely. If you have ANYTHING on youre record make sure you send copies of the courts disposition (can be obtained at the respective court clerks office) must be notarized copies. Make copies of it for your records. Send it. it took me 2 months to hear back. If you are denied, they will send you a letter stating why. You can appeal to the warden and they have 2 weeks (in CA) to respond. if you are approved, they will notify the inmate and the inmate has to let you know you have been approved. This is the procedure in CA.
