Default Mule Creek visiting

Hi, My husband is transferring to Mule Creek this week. I know it is up by Ione, but that's it. Any tips about the routine or where to stay? I know each prison has it's little routines. thanks, J E

I used to stay in Sacramento, there is no place in Ione. Check out the motels along HWY 50. It's a decent place to visit. Saturdays are busier than Sundays, and the first weekend of the month is busier than any other. I don't go too early, because I've been terminated at 2 hours, which sucks when you drive 3.5 hours to get there! Family visiting is GREAT! Every 30 days for almost 3 days, but the food leaves something to be desired.

You're gonna need to find out how close the bus goes to the prison. From there, you can call the Friends Outside trailer and see if someone will come and pick you up.

Default Just had my first visit

I just had my first visit on Oct 22nd. Ione has a hotel. They were booked when I was there. I got a ride to Jackson which is about 11 miles away. A room at Best Western was $89.00 and a cab ride was $35.00. Next time I will probably stay at Sutter Creek and rent a car when I fly in. My friends live in San Jose. I can't depend on them to keep taking me there when I come to California. I need to make friends who are closer to Mule Creek. Hope you enjoy your first visit.
