Default Entire sentence with no visits?

A friend of mine is at NKSP reception center and has been for almost 6mo's. He cannot have visits because he is in R.C.. His release date is 1/14/06. He asked his counselor when he would be getting permanent housing and he/she told him December! He won't even have time to mail out visiting forms much less for anyone to be approved. Has anyone else had this happen?

He can send out visiting forms while he is in RC. He can have non-contact visits while in RC.

Dreamers right. Have him send out visiting forms now so that everyone is approved when he gets to mainline. And once you are apporved you can get non-contact (glass) visits. They are usually only for an hour, but Iusd to drive 2.5 hours each way to get them!

My son was at North Kern for Reception and he was able to have 1 hour behind the glass visits. Have the inmate send out the form. It takes any where from 4 - 6 weeks for the application to be processed.

If his visitors send in the forms now it should follow to his new place and as soon as he's off orientation he should be able to get contact visits.

Whoa! I wonder why he said he cant have visits! Maybe he does'nt want me to see him up there or for me to make the trip on his account. Thats his style now that I think about it. He used to get upset when I would come to LA county because he didnt want me in the area and have to hassle with all of it. He is my ex so he's got feelings invested and wants to get back together. I bet thats it. (Thinking out loud!) Thanks ladies! I am TELLING him to send me the da*n form and thats that! And he will be home in 3 and a half mos anyway so its only a minute now anyways if not.
(still thinking aloud, lol) TY!
