Question Inmate Packages?

My daughter is in the California Rehabilitation Center in Norco, CA. (The one at P.O.Box 1800)
She was telling me about this shopping online thing for their packages now. The problem is that I can only find one site online that I can order from, and she is telling me that there are at least 2. I have looked and looked, but for the life of me I can't find the other one.

Can someone please help me?

Also, can anyone give me any tips on what to buy, or what not to buy? I am very new at this and have no idea on where to start.

Just sign me Confused.

Different facilities use different vendors. This will change very soon, when everyone will have the same few choices. So if you want to send it now, call the facility, ask for R&R (receiveing and release) and ask which venders they use.
Off the top of my head the is Packages R Us, Access, Walkenhorsts, Inmate Quarterly packages. Also, find out her priviledge level, it can determine what items she is allowed.

The only company I have used so far is Walkenhorst. They have the best selection but can be slow at gettng the packages out. If you order from there give it 4 days and then call back and make sure they have everything you order in stock, otherwise they hold the package until the items come in. If they don't have a certain item you can just remove it off the list or have them subsitute it. Stay on top of them and you should have no problem. Next month i'm going to try Access..
Good Luck

There is another vendor-- not sure if the facility allows them, but they are called union supply. You can shop online californiainmatepackage.com...... So far, out of the three I have used, this seems to be the most reasonable when it comes to prices.

Here's a link that goes into great detail about ordering inmate packages. It also has links to a bunch of websites that you can check out and see if your daughters facility is listed.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Personally I like Packages R Us. They ship fast, I've never had anything substituted or out of stock after I order it. I do it online. I had a terrible experience with Union Suppy/ californiainmatepackages and won't ever use them again or recommend then to anyone. The slightly cheaper prices aren't worth the hassle, the wait, or the stale food.
