EmploymentFinding post-incarceration employment can be an almost monumental task. Find tips, job offers and stories from those of us that have experienced it first hand.
Frank has started back at work (Sunday Night) He is working a Sunday-Monday-Tuesday 6p to 6a shift. Then he is off the rest of the week. It will take some getting used to but hopefully he will be able to get into a good sleeping routine. He really thinks that he will like this shift and it is in his old area too. I know I will love it because before he worked every other weekend all weekend long. The kids are excited too.
We had our company gathering (called the spring fling) on Saturday night. There were so many paople who were happy to see him home and also to know that he would be coming back to work. The president of the company (we employ over 1200 people) came up and told Frank that he was glad that he was home and was really glad to see him back.
We did have some problems when he came back to work last time because his ex works there now. She went to HR and raised hell that they would rehire him, *a convicted felon* !!! Also told them he had issues- nothing compared tohers She will never quit. She hasn't started yet, but I am sure she will- just give her time. She seems to think that she will be able to get him fired. They politely told her that he was an excellent employee and they had no problems bringing him back at any time. I wish they would walk her to the door
But just thought I would share that he is finally back to work and that so far it is going super
Take Care All!! CJ
CJ. I am glad to hear he got his old job back. Now, see that is the way corporate america should act. If you can do the job and prove yourself then they should be loyal. His ex does sound like a flake and I am sure she will get herself fired or walked out all by her self. Glad things are getting back to normal for y'alll.
Oh, yeah I work a 4/10 secheduel and love it. It is so much nicer to have the days off.
I agree totally, everyone should be given the chance to prove that they are capable of the work, wether returning as Frank is or being hired first time as a "convicted felon". I know of many at our workplace, and gosh ya know what--you put all the employees together and NOONE could pick them out!!!
I wish more were like our employers.

Wonderful news CJ!! It has been a journey and we feel like we've been right along with you. It's an awesome ride to be along on, especially for those of us who are with lifers. Our fight for freedom will culminate with the changing of the laws in our states, or through attorneys proving our innocence. Whatever you do, stay out of California until we can get that lousy 3 strikes law changed!! They'll make stuff up on you, just to get a 3rd strike!! My heart is rejoicing for your family and I am so thankful that you are all together safe and sound. Don't worry about the ex. If the boss took him back and said what he said to her, he was politely telling her to mind her own beeswax!! So, take care and God bless all of you. We love you and are so happy for you!!
