Hey!! Im glad that somone has something in common with me. My boyfriend is in the Byrd unit. He just got moved there about 2 weeks ago. He said that its boring, they dont get to lift weights or work, no rec. But other than that he hasnt had any other complaints well except that its hotter that hell in there. Oh yeah he also said that its only a two man cell and that it is really laid back in there. Well other than all that I can't tell you anything else but if u want me to find anything else out for you let me know- pm me!!!

I don't know about pictures, but there is no visitation. I don't think they are there for very long either about 2 to 4 weeks.

Byrd is only a Diagnostics Facility. There are no visits at all there, and no, no pictures. They will only be there like 2-3 weeks. My husband just moved from there about a month ago, and he was only there about 9 days. From there after they do all the Diagnostics testing, they will go to a regular unit which could be anywhere in Texas.

I just wanted to point out that this thread hasn't been active since 2003, so these members probably won't reply. But I've moved the thread to the Byrd Prison Unit - Texas sub-forum where you'll probably find lots of info. Please check it out!
