Default Question about Corcoran, Calif. prison

good morning chatters: I am not on here enough lately to keep up with topics that may have already been posted. My question is about the "substance abuse & treatment facility" in Corcoran, Calif. (SATF). My son was transferred there yesterday, after requesting such transfer months ago. At least he is now about 2 hours closer, making him now about 6 hrs from us. He hopes to "hop scotch" his way nearer to his family here in Northern Calif., but we know how difficult it is to get a transfer at all. His father has a serious heart condition, which is why they apparently are agreeing to a transfer at all. In any event, he says that Corcoran will be "much better" than where he has been since Aug., in Lancaster (LA county). Any feedback on this? I would appreciate any insight. He is a Level II, did well in Lancaster despite the poor conditions. thanks in advance, Pamme S.

true that, he is right.
not to be nosey, but what is your son's race? that will have a lot todo with how he is treated at SCATF...they have been having a lot of racial tension/issues for blacks and different groups of hispanics.
lancaster is currently under investigation for all the off the hook shit going on there.
feel free to PM me. i tend to know some things about these places i am afraid...(sigh)

Vicktoria:

Is the visiting room crowded? Do visits get terminated early due to it being crowded? I know it depends on what yard my fiancee is on. What are the regulations as far as the shoes, like do your shoes need to have straps? I know what the regulations are as far as clothes go. Thanks for the info!
