Default RMC Main Unit (West)

Hello everyone,

My honey got moved from the RMC Main Unit (Lake Butler) to the RMC Main Unit (West). Does that mean that's where he'll be permanently?

They are both in Lake Butler...the West Unit is about 2 miles from the Main Unit. Usually they are not there permanently unless medical reasons. My brother is at Gulf CI but he was moved to RMC west about 2 months ago to see a nuerologist and they havent moved him back yet. How long did he go into prison? If he just went in they probably havent assigned him a permanent camp yet. There are people who are there permantley but they have medical reasons. If you have anymore questions about the West Unit i might be able to answer them!!

my hubby is permanent at the west unit and he doesn't have any medical problems.
alot of the transients go there after the main unit to wait until they get transferred or if they have a medical problem but not the permanents.

Default Newbie to this , need help , info and support.

Hi My boyfriend of many years got himself in some big trouble and received a 10 yr sentence that he must serve the full 10 yrs no less. He has some medical issues so he was sent to RMC Main is what I am told is why he was sent there and not Orlando. My phone bundle is by Brighthouse and I asked them to send me a copy of my bill so I can mail it to him to turn in but that may take a week or so. They did advise me it maybe a month or longer before I can speak to him. I am used to talking to him 3-4 times a day when he was in the county , yesterday was my first day with no calls. This is so hard. I am also very disabled and even though nursing comes to give me my injections I have no help for cleaning anymore and stuff like that. This really sucks. I am alone, lonely, scared, sad, and depressed. I found this by googling for phone and joined hoping I could find some help.

RMC West is the camp. And yes they can be permanent at Main as well. Mine was at the camp permanent but is now a permanent at Main.

You're so lucky my nightmare has just started really , I envy that your man will be home soon. Thanks for answering my post. I am so lost. I dont know what to do. I cant afford alot to pay help cleaning and my one friend moved away and a lady I did have help me stole some things. I really have no friends that I can talk to about this or would understand what I am going though. He did all the cleaning and cooking and stuff as I can barely walk and am sick and disabled. I hate my life right now and I am so scared , 10 years is a very long time and I dont know what to do for help. I am also confused where to post, I am not used to forums or posting so if this is in the wrong place please move it. I had a hard time just finding the post I made. I am lost on here and in life right now. He really screwed up and left me in a bad place , alone and not able to do anything. I can barely walk to the bathroom , I am mainly wheelchair bound most of the time.

I'm so sorry honey!!! We didn't have 10 years, just a year to do and I can only imagine how difficult it is for you. It doesn't get easier really, you just learn to adapt to a new life and hard times will still come but you will get through it. People here are very supportive and know what's it's like to be with someone in a long bid. I have always told my man that while it might be hard for him in there, our lives have changed out here and it's not easy by any means. We have our on struggles and it doesn't always feel like we are free. Feel free to PM if you ever want.
