Default Information on Corcoran?

My friend just got sent there, 3C, does that mean he's a level three prisoner now? Before, at CCI, it was 4. How does that happen? Also, what are the conditions there? Food, cells, guards, etc? I'm really worried because he seemed to be doing well at Tehachapi and it seems like he'll have to start over. Thank you.

Each prison has a number of "Yards", & a number of buildings on each yard. Thats what those numbers denote. They are the yard/building numbers for his housing location. Points are reviewed every 6 months, & every prisoners has an anual review. If they remain discipline free, & are working etc. their points go down, which will cause them to be sent to a lower level yard/prison. Also if they are close to being a lower level, but don't have the exact point total to lower their level, they can receive an over ride which allows prisoners to be housed on a lower level yard than their points allow. Over rides are fairly common, & are used for a variety of reasons. 3C is a level 3 yard at corcoran, if I remember correctly.

There are many post/threads here about Corcoran. Do a search & you'll find answers to most of your questions. Any that aren't answered in the archives, you can post here, & I'm sure they will be answered.-------Ken
