Default Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator

I have to credit Kali for this information. It has proven very useful for me personally! The reason I am re-posting it is so that it can be in the Topic area..

The link below:

www.bop.gov

Go to the Inmate Info section and enter what information you have.
*NOTE* - It is much better to complete the search forms. I have left off race and gender in a few of my searches and it came up empty just because these fields were not filled in. This means they are required rather than used to narrow down a larger field..

how come, whenever I search on this web site, with the exact name and age, that I get a guy that has the same name and age, but it's not the guy that I'm looking for?

and I'm trying to find out what a guy I write with has been convicted for (241 years when he was 16?) but all I get is that it's a sealed file or something, that they can't give any information. any idea what that might mean?

Soraya...

I did a little searching for you and I found the web site for the Indiana prison system. On this site there is an offender search all you need to do is put in his name/# & it should bring up where he is at. If the site is anything like the IDOC web site it will have the address, phone # & any kind of info. on that particular prison he is in.

Here it is... http://www.ai.org/indcorrection/

I hope that this helps you out some.
