Visiting Hours:
Inmates may have approved visitors only on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays if they are not scheduled to work. Normal visiting hours are from 8:00 - 10:15 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival visitors shall park and lock their vehicles in the designated parking lot. No one (including pets) will be left unattended in vehicles on facility grounds.
Custody Level:MinimumAbout MCCF:Mill Creek Correctional Facility (MCCF) is located five miles southeast of Salem, and houses 312 minimum custody inmates. In 1992, Mill Creek Correctional Facility became part of the Santiam Correctional Institution operation. The facility is a minimum security work camp providing inmate labor to the Oregon Department of Corrections, other State and local agencies and private industry throughout the Willamette Valley.
Directions:
From Salem city center, proceed west on Mission Street to Turner Road, just past the airport. Follow Turner Road approximately two and one-half miles south. MCCF is a large white building that sits on top of a small hill on the right side of the road. A sign clearly marks the entrance.
If arriving from the north or south on Interstate 5, take exit 252, Kuebler Blvd. Go east to Turner Road, turn right and proceed approximately one-half mile.
REMEMBER: If you are writing an inmate at Mill Creek CF than you NEED to send the mail to Santiem because there is no actual mail box at MC. After his SID number write /MCCF and they will send it over, usually the same day recived. My mail always reaches my boy really fast. So the address for is:
4005 Aumsville HWY se
Salem, Or 97301
And something else about mill creek. They have "A" and "B" visiting days depending on what level the inmate is in. (Also they have visiting on Fridays!) If anyone needs the list for which days are which, I will be glad to help you. I have always had a good time visiting him here, the guards are really relaxed and it is enjoyable.

if u have any suggestions of how to help me out it would be greatly appreciated
The zip code just changed probably 2 months ago. The VAC address just changed recently too. It really confuses things when it is never formally announced. Advice is to only write in blue or black ink, or pencil, and to be VERY careful of what you send. No tape or stains or anything on envelopes--including extra writing, only do the address and return address. They are very anal about "gang" affiliation, so no jokes based on "gangster" crap. Nothing laminated, no more than 10 pages per envelope, each item counts as a page...picture, news clip, ext. Hope this helps you a little more!
