There's nothing more for me to add that the others haven't already said. What a truly beautiful tribute.

Wow, Thanks everyone for the lovely responses!
I really wrote this because I had nowhere else to go with those feelings.

The support that I got from PTO members and staff before, during and after D's execution was truly amazing! Knowing that I had people praying for us and sending postitive thoughts our way made the dark days a little brighter. In the midst of all the sadness and pain there were people whose light of compassion shone brilliantly; chasing the shadows of despair far away.

Having the support here (at PTO) kept me from giving up, when all I wanted to do was go where D had gone.
No one here ever knew that things were quite so bad for me, but if this community has helped me in such a big way, it is surely helping others too, every minute of the day. You should all be proud of the love that you give here at PTO. It really does make a difference.
The first anniversary was awful and I wasn't sure how I was going to react - and here you all are again, just when I need you!

Thank you.

Rach xx

Default A year has gone by

Your post was beautiful... I just want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Maybe someday we won't have to go through the pain that you and your loved one had to go through.

That was so beautiful - it brought tears to my eyes. And it also scared me - will I ave to walk the same as you did with your loved one. I know what lake you are talking about but I make myself believe that it will not come that fare.

Good luck in everything you do - all the best to you always.

That was so very moving, I too have tears in my eyes. I just hope and pray that soon no-one else has to go though that. I just hope I can be as strong if ( I refuse to say when) the day comes for my special guy.

That is really touching. Who could believe that one tradgic circumstance could effect so many people for such a long time frame.

Tookie is dead, We're not safer; we're not more secure. We're not more humane. We must kill the idea of killing to stop killing.
