Send Birthday & Holiday cards to inmates!
I am NOT sure what to write inside the card for prisoners
Hello!
Growing up my mother was a coordinator for Prison Fellowship Angel Tree Ministry which is a Christian ministry that finds churches to by 2 gift per child on behalf of their absent parent. Well also for Christmas and Easter she would send cards to the prisoners. Well the past 10 years she hasn't been involved in that...
This Christmas I feel like sending cards to prisoners. I spent 3 days gathering 32 inmates. I went to individual state DOC sites and located inmates that way and I also got a few from Friends Beyond the Wall website!
So here's where this post comes in to play! I am NOT sure what to write inside the card for prisoners. It's already has "Warmest wishes for a bright and joyful holiday" on the inside but I was also thinking of writing a little written message to but don't know what to because a lot of the Christmas Card sayings I find on the internet reference friends, family, presents and all that.
Can someone please give me some suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it!

Tell them a little about yourself or how the weather is in your area.. Even what your favorite tradition is. Different things like that.. Or some Christmas jokes. But be prepared you may get a lot of responses back. So po box is definitely needed

When I've sent holiday cards to inmates that I didn't have a personal connection to and wasn't looking to correspond regularly with, I would write something along the lines of:
Hope this card brings a little cheer this holiday season. May the New Year hold peace and possibility for you and those you hold dear.

Thank you very much! We have sent out 60 cards and are waiting for our list from the Christmas Card Project to send out more!
My husband and I decided that in some cards we wrote:
Our wish for you is that 2018 and the years to come be filled with lots of love, joy, happiness and and peace! Merry Christmas and Hapoy New Year!
Then in others we wrote:
Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values
Again I would like to thank you all for the ideas.
