Yea 2 yrs not to bad, but yea I can feel you getting lonely for him, not easy , but at least you can talk and write. Plus visit him. Hope you start feeling better, I know at first it's really hard especially with these holidays. I will be glad when it's over, you can always talk to me if you want, since we are on the same state. My husband has been gone for a year and a week now. It was a huge surprise when the Feds came and got him, and I didn’t realize that kiss was the last one I’d have for a while. I met him at 19, and we’ve never spent more than a week a part. 14 years later, we have 3 kids, who desperately miss their father. Last year was harder since it the first time he was a part for the holidays, but this time around, it’s a little better. Christmas is huge for us, and it’s a true damper. He gets sentenced January 30th and it seems like an eternity. Praying for time served, but he can get up to 5 years. I hate being a part from him, I feel so alone. Reading you girls stories, I realize it can be a lot worse. But no one can take their places. They’re some lucky guys to have us!

I know what you mean hon mine has been gone for 3 years now with 2 years to go. I didn't even get a chance to kiss mine goodbye and that sucked. The holiday are his favorite time of year. We have been together for 29 years now the only time that we were separated is when I was on the ship on deployment in the Persian gulf I miss mine alot to. Photos and letters and calls . Does it get any easier hard to say it varies. Just stay strong and you will get through it.

I know right in the beginning I was not strong at all but with time I learned to be strong for him and prove to myself that I could do this. And with time you will be strong and able to tackle this head on .

You are definitely a very strong woman. Your husband is very lucky to have your strength beside him. I know with your love for him, your lives will be good when he comes home and very blessed.

Ok, so maybe I just need to vent. We didn't get our normal contact visit this weekend, because it was the 4th for the month it had to be at the window, so I didn't get my fix I guess? But this week I have really missed him.
I started a new job, so we haven't been able to talk as much over the phone either and that is driving me insane, but the job is going well, so that's a plus.
I really cannot wait to see him Sunday though, since it's a new month we are back to contact visits for a little while!!

Default Missing your man inside?

Just wanted to share this thought here tonight...I always miss my sweet guy! After talking to him tonight I realized it was especially hard for him missing me. I think sometimes I forget how much easier it is for me to find things to occupy my mind, when he really suffers more than I realistically. I just want to bring Him some sunshine and hope on those particular hard days! Wishing I could love on him all the more, miss him so much!

I know I keep posting in here lamenting, and onedayatatime13 was very helpful last time. I just miss our LO so much because more holidays are approaching. The whole family is feeling his absence. I remember last year and how great it was. He’s not here and won’t be here for a long time. This is the first round of holidays without him, and it’s really really tough. We visit him, but it’s not the same as him being here helping us wrap gifts and decorate the tree. Thanks for listening.

I miss him all day everyday! During the day, I keep myself occupied and send him messages throughout the day, but at night is where it really hits me the most. When I’m alone in bed with nothing else but my thoughts it really makes me miss him so much that sometimes I question myself as to why I chose to love someone incarcerated. His messages, phone calls, and surprise cards and pictures make it all worth it to me. On the phone the other night I was venting to him about how sad I get because I miss him and he opened my eyes a little bit and I felt so selfish. I wasn’t even thinking about how he was feeling. He told me he misses me everyday and thinks about me all day and can’t escape it. I have the opportunities to go out and occupy my mind where he is in a cell 22 hours a day and can’t really do anything else aside from daily work outs. By the time he gets released, I graduate college a few days later, so he tells me that we’re finishing our “time” together! Even from prison, he still makes me feel so special! I’m forever grateful for him being there for me. I never like complaining or venting on the phone because we only get 30 minutes a day, but he said it makes him feel connected to me and wants to be there for me and talk me through my bad days and celebrate on my good days. He’s the first man I’ve ever been with that’s been incarcerated but I wouldn’t change a thing. Sorry for going on and on!
