Default please answer this i NEED to know!

okay i know this person in jail...he was in one jail but he got transferred to another jail on a "medical transferr"....okay i NEED to know what exactly does it mean to get a medical transferr....does that mean he will be at his new jail for a while then they will return him to the first jail? or does this mean he will be at his new jail to stay?....please someone tell me whats up with all this...thanks

you probably will get better information if you post this question in the state forum for the state he is located in... rules/laws vary from state to state.

Here in NY it usually means that some necessary procedure cannot be done at the original facility. After completion of the procedure and recovery, he should be returned to his original facility, unless the condition is not remediable and is classed as an on-going medical difficulty.Then he would stay where he can receive appropriate care.
