Default Update-he started his re-entry class

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give an update on hubby...he started the re-entry class last week. The class is supposed to be a 12 week course, but it is being expedited and they have to have it done in 5 weeks. Also, he is moving to the transition dorm.....I'll keep you guys posted....there is hope that our lifers will one day have freedom...December 2012, lifer will have done 17 years!

what was his original sentence? Had he been approved to be released before he started the classes? Congratulations for you both!

His orignal sentence is life...he is approaching 17 yrs...he did go up for parole in 2009 and got a 4 yr. setoff....earlier in the year the warden at his prison went to the parole with a recommendation for parole. The class is required and they cannot refuse it or they get locked down....so we're waiting on him to go to a transition center or come straight home.
