Unhappy GA Prisons on Lockdown

Intro - Hello I am lynn1991 from GA. I have a son in Telfair State. I was told there about 10 prisons across GA on lockdown for the past two weeks. Has anyone else heard anything?

There are about 10 prisons on locked down until further notice. They aren't saying why. There was several fights among gang members the week before this occured.

To make the Georgia prison system safer they need to have good time, this early release this way it can encourage inmates to behave and decrease the violence and overcrowdeness. But in Georgia it is a penal state that is behind in times and things wont change for a long time.I pray for the brothers, sisters locked up to be safe and their families aswell.

Or Macon. Ironically Calhoun is off and they are the major issue. My boyfriends going crazy with thinking they're about to make them a 23hr lockdown prison. So stressful.

Telfair is still on lockdown. According to the GDOC they do not have a timeline to determine when the lockdown will be lifted.

Hello! Mine is at Macon and they are off lockdown. They can only use Jpay if they have a tablet.

You'll hear from him then. Jpay doesn't go out on the weekend most of the time. Sucks.
