Cool What's the most interestingly unique class you've taken?

With colleges/universities/ and trade schools offering a diverse amount of classes, it can be assumed that most are receiving a well-rounded education these days...

What would you consider the most unique and interesting class you've taken?

I'm currently in one called The Evolution, Conservation and Ecology of Marine Mammals (yeah, try saying that 3 times really fast...). It sounds like it would be a horrendous class right? Nope. I LOVE IT. I love marine life, and I love learning about how they've changed over time (like how the eldest ancestor of the whale was a land bound creature).

I've also just enrolled in an accelerated online course on the Psychology of Serial Killers. Can you believe I can get credit for that?

What are some that you're taking/have taken that are unique?

History of Rock and Roll @ E'town Community College in approx. 1998 when I first started back to school. Our textbook was The Rolling Stone Encylopedia of Rock and Roll. I was born in the mid-50's, so I lived through much of the history plus have always had a love of music (especially early blues)......I aced the class.

Yep, I've taken Human Sexuality, Psychology of Serial Killers (yes, my school offered that two, was absolutely amazing) and one called Psychology and Deviant Behavior.

Human Sexuality was required for my nursing degree, the other two were very interesting electives.

I took a Film Noir class where we watched 4 films (The English Patient, Bladerunner, The Deer Hunter and Apocalypse Now and read the literary works the movies were based on. That class changed the way I watch movies, and how much thought goes into lighting, background, music, etc.

I'm taking Human Sexuality as well...

That class is VERY provocative! I found myself blushing last week writing a paper about whether there's a correlation between "size" and pleasure. Wow! Sometimes I still ask myself, "I'm getting credit for this?" haha

A fabulous class on Southeast Asian Folklore. It was taught by an Burmese man who was full of very non-western thoughts and background. He was his country's ex-ambassador to the UN, descended from two of the 37 national gods of Burma, and had been inducted into the were-tiger cult (like our European were-wolves). Totally fascinating!

I think the most interesting was Religions Around the World. A real eye opener, and complete understanding of everyone's religions.

Wow MLM and Rickys...where do you go that offers a class on the Psych of Serial Killers?!? I would love to take that class...I read a lot of true crime, and I'm a Psych major.

My most fascinating class? It's a toss up between Theatre Make-Up (which was an elective) or Race & Cultural Relations.
