Default Will letters of a sexual nature get him in trouble?

So Iím writing my lo a sexy letter describing um a blow job, in detail. I didnít use the word Ďdickí or anything like that instead I said your then left it blank. Heís at fire camp so everything seems pretty relaxed all the COs are cool they donít even look in my purse when I visit just ask if I have a cell phone then take my word for it. There are no explicit words in what I wrote just in detail describing the blowjob. Lol. Im actually quite pleased with the piece lol I think itís pretty good and I like to write anyway. I just want to be sure it would not be considered contraband I donít want to get him in trouble or anything. Any feedback/info would be appreciated if anyone has had experience with it.

My LO and I have written explicit sex letters (CA state prisons) without leaving 'certain' words out and they always went through, no issues. I think this might be one of those random things where you'll just never know...depending on the staff at mailroom, specific facility...but I personally wouldn't be concerned about him getting into trouble or them seeing a sex letter as contraband -- I would think that the worst that could happen IF they saw your letter as too inappropriate is they'd just return it to you. Of course.....this is just my two cents based on my personal experience within the last 4+ years

My husband and I can't even seem to write the word "sex" without a letter getting pulled. He's in Colorado.

Made it hard to figure out if we're on the same page, or mention a problem I have that will unfortunately limit my ability.

So now, the mail room must think that we really like hiking and gardening for some reason...

I wouldn't worry about it. I've had the same experience as Sari with CDC. It seems the only time it's an issue is if the inmate has their mail scrutinized for some reason specific to them like previous contraband or if the nature of their charges warrant more restrictions regarding sexual content. Other than that, it's one of the regulations that doesn't get hit very often.

At the prison here, explicit sexual content is allowed as long as the activity being described is lawful and nonviolent. So... no rape fantasies.

Wow lol - i never even thought about sexually explicit letters not being allowed....is that a rule here in california? Seriously though, does anyone know for sure one way or the other? I mean, if it IS against the rules then its definately not one that they care about very much about- ive grown up around convicts pretty much my whole life and ive honestly never even HEARD anything like that. But after reading some of the posts on this thread, im gonna assume that its a rule in other states? Thats flippin RIDICULOUS! Smdh...i dont think my hubby wouldve maintained his SANITY this long, if we werent allowed to write those kinds of letters back and forth lol

Yes, it's a regulation in CA. No sexually explicit material (depiction through image or writing).

Where I work we don't care about sex letters unless it's a rape fantasy or it describes sexual acts with a child. Yes i have seen those. We are more worried about the drugs coming in vs the content of the letter.

Thru IL I've had sexually explicit letters and emails go through on both sides. I write them in half English/half Spanish so it's not as... offensive for lack of better words lol

Wellll we write really explicit letters to each other and it has not been an issue yet. We are in Nevada so not sure what the regulations are around that in this state.

We wrote very graphic letters to each other. Never had an issue. Just stay away from extremely “taboo” subjects like rape and you should be fine

In Oregon I had a few returned to me with a letter warning against sexual content. He never got in trouble but they wouldn’t let him have them. Haha we learned to just slip a sentence or two in the middle of a long letter they would let that through.
