Father on parole and son is felon, can they see each other?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can answer a question from my friend. He is up for parole this month and fingers crossed he will be going home to his kids.
Will he be able to see his son, as he has a record but off parole now and my friend will be on parole for a few years, if he gets released?

He is getting a bit worried about this as he has been gone 20 years, but still remained a very close relationship with his two kids.

Probation & Parole can waive the "no association with other felons" stipulation for immediate family members. Provided there are no extenuating circumstances (son is victim of Father's crime, PO is a complete arse, etc) it shouldn't be a problem.
