Default Felon-Friendly housing???

I have a friend who's husband is to be paroled within the next three months and she is having to leave her current rental due to her husband's record. It apparently doesn't matter to the landlord that she has been a good tenant, always paid her rent on time but the fact that her husband has a drug felony, the place has decided to not renew her lease.

Are there any felon-friendly places in the world?? I mean recidivism is almost a definite if people aren't given second chances. How do we find out such things??

Default

It will depend on the nature of the felony. She might could check with an "apartment finder" in the area and see if they would be willing to take a look around. I'd say that the smaller apartments, the ones not run by a corporation, would be the best ones to look at and see if they will take a felon on a case by case basis...perhaps with more of a security deposit.
