I have a BA in Journalism and an MBA. My bf has a HS diploma, but is smarter than most highly educated. Common sense is not common.

I just graduated with my degree in law which.. My bf's mum thinks is highly ironic considering the situation... But.. I love him and he's been brilliant.

Default My mom says out loud, what others are merely thinking...

I have my Bachelors. I met my bf at work. We became good friends and he told me from the beginning of his current circumstances. He was living in a nearby HWH. Upon hearing this, I was taken back because he didn't seem to fit the bill. The friendship continued and I decided to evaluate his character as I already had...(the only actions and behavior I had known since meeting him.)
I guess I didn't give enough thought to the ramifications of the ignorance I others. Just because I felt I knew his character and heart, does not mean that friends and family would accept the situation with open arms. Being a single mother, has proven all the more challenging because I find myself in a moral battle inside my mind. I feel I can trust him. I became a sponsor and it was few months before he even met my children. Even then, it was not serious. However, that was the beginning of opening the can-of-worms...
I have struggled in knowing the right thing to do. I don't want my children to learn that judging others can be justified when its convenient. We all make dumb mistakes but I have always believed in a forgiving God with proper accountability and amends. How will I adequately instill that faith and hope for their own actions if I conform to that hypocrisy? Still, as a single parent, dealing with 2 fathers, I do not have the pleasure of making my own judgement call. It's unfair, but the drama that my children's fathers are igniting because of my relationship choice, is something that I can avoid for the sake of my children. Though my bf would never hurt them and in fact be an amazing and humble father figure, society, family, friends who claim to care, will never allow it.

Almost done with my AA in criminal justice (totally an accident), and also computer networking and graphic design. It's all online since I live in the middle of nowhere. I also have my Medical Assistant Certs. I just want to finish and then get a bachelor in oceanography or something.

I am a double major and I am getting my Bachelors of Science degrees in Economics and Finance. Really everything that I'm doing is Economics and Finance with extended course work in International Business, since they won't let me triple major lol. I am more then half way done and I can't wait to walk across that stage. My man has his G.E.D and has been taking classes on the inside. He can hold intelligent conversation, understands what's going on in my classes when I tell him, and wants to know more. He's so smart and that's one of the many reasons I love him so much

I have quite a background. I went to college for two years for nursing, I have my PCA, I also went to college for business management and received my bachelors degree.
Then i chose to go to cosmetology school, I worked towards my license during my pregnancy and acheived my goal just 4 weeks after my first child was born.
I currently work as an office and site manager for an international engineering firm located in Massachusetts. I work on the side as a stylist. I have two children and unfortunately, i dont have the greatest cleanest past. I was in and out of alot of trouble, and also fought addiction for many years. But, that is in the past. I find a lot of people cant overlook someones past and their mistakes, so they dont understand why, if i have such a bright future for me and my children, i choose to be with someone who is incarcerated.
I did not choose this, it just happened to be everythin i could ever ask for. he is my best friend and he understands me and everything i have been through, he doesnt overlook my past and i dont overlook his, we understand our pasts and the decisions we have made. we are on the same path and have chosen to take that path together. I feel like with him by my side there isnt anything that we cant do.
