Default How many prisons allow inmates to adopt cats?

Please don't let this offend anyone. But Ever since I discovered Lock Up on (Famous news channel) TV I've about watched it every hour even the replays of the night and weeks. I just saw one about a prison that allows the inmate men to adopt them. I think it was Indiana or somewhere. I may be wrong. But they adopt the cats from the shelters. You know it's probably something many of you may not agree on but you know it does help to have something. It made me teary watching the man with his cat. It would be nice if all places allowed that. But its also a good thing most places don't I guess. Guess the question I have is are there many places that do this?
