Jerome wants to take counseling courses and business management courses.
The other courses are no good for him. I am a believer that AA and all those classes only introduce you to more connections... cause so many of those people don't want to change.. just my opinion.
And I am happy to say that anger management is not needed for him... I am a different story.

It would be nice to have a business, real estate, or brain work curriculum, alas just a dream. Most only learn how to be better criminals. Then we have recidivism. It's the system, keep them coming back, the cos need jobs.

My honey would take any class that would use his brain and time. He loves to learn. So far he's got his GED and his welding certificate. He's even enrolled and been accepted into college starting August 09. I'm so proud of him. But if there were more classes he wants to learn to play guitar and speak German, and Spanish. Also he made me send him some massage tricks so i know he would do that too. He'll do almost anything.

I wish the AA & NA classes were combined in the poll. It's called the S.A.S. program in the New Hampshire SP.
Nothing like being in a classroom behind that wall with a bunch of sober drunks and drug addicts!!!
Great time, excellent program!

Mechanics/work with your hands

That's Eddie to a "T"! His hands are all scarred up from working on cars and wood working...he loves working with his hands.

Rhew is wanting to take a class to become a certified substance abuse counselor, it is available where he is but they keep denying him because they say he has too much time left on his sentence.

I think my husband would take an art class or lol a sewing class. I wont want him to take a computer class or anything that could get him into trouble. LOL. So, it would be something fun especially since he cant draw like he thinks he can.

I chose other.. I think he would enjoy taking a class for business or something that would be offered at a technical school (welding, hvac, etc) that he could apply towards getting a job when released.

If I could pick, I think he needs anger management classes.

I voted for Auto VT, when I was inside I worked as an Auto VT clerk. The boss there was interested in getting the inmates to get certified in one or more ASE areas. I remember helping a couple of the guys in their studies, and felt darn proud when they passed and got an ASE cert.

It gives the men a chance at finding work outside when they leave.

Computers and programming are good courses, but in the real world you can setup a "shady tree garage" easier than a computer consulting agency.

So, in my heart, I hope they are still offering Auto VT, and anyone who got their ASE wishing them good luck as they re-enter the real world.

I would have liked to take a creative writing class in prison so I could release my pent up stress through writing. Psychology classes would have been great too, it would have helped me understand some of the people I was living around

My Man would love a vet tech class. He/we love our dogs and he knows so much how to care for them anyway.
