Post Professional Licenses Law for ex-felons

So ex-felons will be allowed to obtain professional licenses. Uh..yea thanks Scott but I have mixed emotions since it's still difficult for ex-felons to restore their right to vote and I don't see much else the state is doing to help truly rehabilitate those who are currently in prison. Everything has been about those who break the law going forward...what about those who have already served more than enough time already? What about those who would have and can still benefit from all these "alternatives"? Guess we have to start somewhere.

Professional licenses law will help ex-felons find work, stay out of prison

Yeah, you would think that a person who hasn't committed a crime let alone a felony in over 30yrs should be able to get their rights restored. Instead they get sentenced to a 3yr manditory min. for having a hunting rifle in their home.

Well you know...Scott wants them to be able to get those licenses so that he can collect revenue for the state off them in the form of fees and taxes...

Exactly. He and his hellhound Bondi went and removed the rights restoration process that Crist put into place (one of the few things he used his brain on) but now they are going to do this? And WHAT jobs? Getting a license is one thing (and not cheap) getting a job is something else in this economy. Nah, he wants the money but not the votes. Rat bastard.

Oh and of course...at the rate they are turning people into felons in this state...soon there would be no one eligible for licenses if they didn't let the felons have them.

Maybe once he is out of office, he might be able to be tried for the offense he has committed an possibly found guilty by a jury of his peers. It might be nice for him to have a letter next to his name and have him understand what it is like to go through what he himself has placed into law..

WifeofMichael that's what has me totally bewildered. It never ceases to amaze me how people don't see through this crap. It was hard enough before the economy got the way it is for a felon to find a job. So I'm supposed to truly believe that this is such a blessing that felons can now get professional licenses when there are hardly any jobs for those without records? Even with a license how many are even open minded in hiring a felon? To me it's like spending money on something you probably won't be able to use. I've said it before...this state is going to H in a handbasket! And the ignorant and self absorbed along with the blue hairs are joyfully filling the basket!

I agree and those oppoertunities that are available are so limited as to lines of work. Who will I vote for in 2012? Anyone but Scott and Biondi. Shesucked in Hillsboro count and has just taken it with her to Tally. I guess all the felons who can't get work is the reason Scott has to bring in people from other states to staff his government!

Scott won't be up for re-election until 2014
