Default How to get case records

Is there any place to access state court records (like pacer for federal)? There is no information on anything from the county we are dealing with.

Thanks!

You can go to the Courthouse in the county of conviction an ask to see the case file. That much is free. Any copies you want will be a minimal charge. Transcripts are not included in the case file. As I understand it, you would need to speak with the court reporter that transcribed the hearing(s) for copies. The fee for those can be a tad expensive, depending on the number of pages.

If you are dealing with a TN state felony you can go to the Central Records in the City where it all started (they may even have an online request form in that city's web page for the Police Reports and Arrest Reports. If you want transcripts of the trial you go to the Circuit Court in the county of the city where the trial was...(no info is available online-I walked in (was not AT the court, was more like a library) and said my husbands name and the nice woman took me right to his transcript which included more information than just what was said in court). I hope that helps you
