Ok, thanks. I guess just a little extra money on his books and some paper and envelopes. I used Rosies last time and was very pleased.

That is a good idea, if he gets transferred to they forward magazines? I think I may do that for our grandson.

I send writing material from Rosie's and books. Last Christmas I ordered two magazine subscriptions, a newspaper and added additional funds to his commissary account.

TDCJ does not allow much. I know my son appreciates all the little things.

I use Coke Rewards to get points to send free magazines. However, most are ones like Good Housekeeping and O magazine.

My understanding is they do not allow anything other than the normal day to day things you can send. I always use www.texasprisonbookstore.com to order my books and extras from. My loved one too loves the little things I can send him from there. I like sending him the books since once he finishes he passes them on. There are so many who recieve nothing so I try to send extra when I can plus the bookstore sends to indegent inmates so by shopping with them in away i'm helping those who are without.

Yes, Cody, you can send cards. Just keep in mind that if it has a piece of paper glued inside like some cards do, they may detach it. They will also take apart musical cards so don't send that. I have personally never had a problem with sending xmas cards with glitter or foil.
