Not really familiar with it because he just got there about a month ago. He hasn't really had any complaints about it except that he came from a camp with 1 man cells and theres 2 and 4 man in Warren. Is there anything specific you need to know? I can ask tomorrow for ya! I dont think there are very many Warren girls around here...at least not that I've come across.

I am pretty much familiar with WCI just wondering how it compared to other camps. He has been there for eight months. I have heard all about the two- four man cells. He hates it but if he goes to far away from home to single man cells he has to give up some visits and phone calls. So he bears it.

How is the visiting there? We're in the process of getting a visit set up, it's just so far away for me, it's hard to get plans set in stone.

Default Visiting

I can only compare it to crc cause this is my first prison experience. The visit are Wed - Sunday and difficult as hell to make. They make sure it is thirty days in advance. If you are trying to schedule for April 1st you need to call March 1st unless it's monday or tuesday. The phone stays busy. Weekdays are easier to make I like that they have the late visits 4:30 - 7:30. I still really haven't got a every other week rythym like i would like

i visited at warren for quite sometime.
once you get into visit sometimes the c.o.s will make an announcement about who wants to schedule a visit for next time. it isnt always exactly 30 days in advance but close.
if anyone has any questions please ask..

It shouldn't take months to get approved for a visiting list. You need to call the prison, and tell them your sons number and name. They should put you through to his case worker. Talk to the case worker and see what is going on with your visiting papers.

Hi Tonesheart is right they will sometimes have an opening before 30 days ,on a week day.But they are stricked. My son has been ther two years now another 3 years to go.Most guys do not like what they call dorm cells, but want 2 man cells. It is a 2 hour drive for us,but worth itI can only tell you to hang in there because they need you.god bless and best wishes. My loved one is in Warren.

I'll be visiting there for the first time in August (toward the end) and already planned for a weekday. I don't want to go to a "cattle call" type deal or not get the whole three hours so I will go early dress conservatively and obey all the rules. Hopefully there won't be any issues.

My loved one has told me they hold an orientation for us a few times a year. I plan to attend in October.

Default Warren

I have a loved one in WCI but I have not been able to visit yet. I read the posts about the visitation rules, that is crazy! 30 days in advance?? Other than the crazy rules, can somebody tell me how the prison is? Thanks!
