Thumbs up When your little hut is burning!

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small,
uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him,
and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of
driftwood to protect himself from the elements, and to store his
few possessions. However one day, after scavenging for food,
he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke
rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened -everything was
lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you
do this to me?" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound
of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue
him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his
rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It's easy to get discouraged sometimes when things appear to
be going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at
work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.
Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it
just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God!
For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has
a positive answer for each one.
We know everything about each other, but we still keep holding on...

Thank you for sharing this. I needed to see it! It certainly is applicable to something happening in my life right now.

Don’t make someone a priority in your life when you’re only an option in theirs.

That was wonderful, mash'Allah. Yes, Allah (SWT) is most definitely the best of planners!

"Time as a measurement of love is eternal.
It extends beyond the borders of forever into the depths of infinity.
I love you this and much more."

Finally, happily married to m'love: 1/25/13.

this reminds me of some stories ive heard in regards to tragic events that occurred..
eg.. sept 11..
there were alot of stories about people not making it into work that morning, where they were upset etc b/c of situation.. missed flights, things going wrong ...one guy said he even smacked his kid really bad b/c he was frustrated b/c running late for work even though wasent really kids fault as such..

but by end of day, they were all grateful for whatever reason it was that kept them outta work that morning..
everytime im in a situation now that seems like i wanna lose it.. eg.. my car broke down.. instead of getting upset..i think.. ok.. im not suppose to be on road now coz maybe i wouldve been involved in car accident or something???
i always try & flip my thinking like that.. helps me cope with situations & remain positive.
