Ohio State Public Defender??

Has anyone ever had one? I just got Timothy one. I am tried if messing around with Wayne county. They wounldn't even call in the local MRDD service for Timothy BEFORE he was sentances. If anyone has heard of them or used them please let me know. Thanks

Public Defenders in any state are over worked and under paid, that should pretty much tell you it all. Good Luck!

Yes I did but the Wayne county PD wouldn't call anyone to the stand.

Yes John I agree they maybe over worked but you don't have a child in the system do you? Or you would understand every child deserves to have there full att. while there working with them. Not to herded into the system to be a number instead of the special gifts they are.

No, I don't have a child in the system and for that I am thankful! I would go out of my head. I have a husband on Death Row for a crime he did NOT commit, who has had 6 execution dates and 5 reprieves. He now has a date for April 17th, 2007. We live with Death on our door daily.

I hope you get the help you need for your son, truly I do. I had a Handicapped Brother who passed away at the age of 50.

There are some very caring PD out there and yes everyone deserves their full attention, but unfortunatley that doesn't always happen.

I am sorry I am on alittle strong but I get SO tried of people giving my son a bad rap because of that he is in there for. He also didn't do what he is in there for.
I am sorry for what you are going throu. None of this whole system seems to work for the right people.

I don't no why things seem to be working agrainst my son. He is in the system for a fenoly rape when he was 12 did go in until he was 16 and the girl he supposeidy done this to is still a virgin. I was living with the girls dad at the time it happened he caught them "playing doctor" oral sex. we punshed them that's all there was to it until a year ago. now all hell was broke lose. Tell me how they can do something like this to a handicapped boy no less. My son age is 16 almost 17 now but his mind is still 9. Now does this happen?
I am hoping this Ohio state P.D. will do something

Virgins can be raped. People can still be virgins after being raped. I don't understand what you're trying to say.

One of the great injustices of our system is the fact that poor people can't get a good defense. You have to get very lucky and get a PD who isn't overwhelmed with cases and/or really cares about you. Good luck.
