Hello Ladies,
I am not even sure if i am posting in the correct thread, but i was wondering if anyone can maybe give me some advice or help out on a situation i have. So my fiance has a child by his soon to be divorced ex and she is filling for full custody to where he or his family can not see his daughter. Now his family is not big on getting into it with his ex but my fiance wants to try to put up a fight. Now my question is does anyone know of any inmates being able to get some kind of a right to where they can have visitation rights even though he is incarccerated?
Any thing will help out. Thank you so much.

Default Corcoran Inmate Family Council for SHU??

Hello,

I been going to visit the SHU at Cor for about a year now and not once have I heard anything about an IFC representing Cor SHU. Does anybody have any contact information for the IFC for the regular yards? There are things that our processing room needs and visit rooms like basic things like it being cleaned! Toilets are yellow, spray or sanitizer to wipe down phones etc. I would appreciate any leads.

The last I heard, there was no rep for any part of the SHU. I wanted to join but the person I knew in SHU moved up to SanQuentin, and my husband is on that side but not in SHU (he doesn't want me to join for fear of some kind of trouble).

Private message me and i'll give you the email of the IFC acting chair. Also the last I heard they had only 3 members (maybe 4 counting the Chair).

Just tossing it out here, when my guy was at Corcoran it took anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months to get a letter (the 3-month thing only happened once.) @ weeks seemed to be the norm, even if I sent it Priority.

I send my mail from Eastern Oregon, and it is usually delivered withing 4 days, but takes some time for processing.
