Default Husband received his notice for parole meeting.

I'm so excited and very nervous. We are both writing letters and getting mentally prepared for this meeting. I will be going to this meeting as well. I can't wait until it's done and over with. Yay so happy we finally have a date for this meeting.

You're both going to be soooo nervous Just take a deep breath and keep your head up....it'll be fine Do you get to speak? That would be nerve-wracking!!

Good luck, I do hope it goes extremely well! How long before you get an answer?

Yes I do get to speak and I'm super nervous. I asked my husband what I should say or do and he said just tell the truth and everything will be fine. Once we have the meeting we could know that day or it could take up to a month. I hope we will know at the meeting but who knows. Eeekkk

Write down what you want to say. Start now. Make it at least slightly different than your letter. Then, between now & his hearing: re-read it several times over the coarse of a week or so, making notes in the margins & editing. Rewrite the whole thing to include all notes, editing...a "final draft." Repeat the process. 2nd "final" draft is your speech.

Re-reading, editing and rewriting will help develop a sense of confidence in that you'll know by heart what you want to say & how you want to say it. Nothing worse than opening your mouth and having a brain fart, looking like a deer in the headlights.

No worries...you got this!! Go forth and help your husband come HOME!!

Yes they are. I know there is always that possibility that he won't make it. But I also know he could.
How long did it take you to get an answer??

None days away now. I'm still very nervous. I didn't end up writing a letter because my husband said if I'm going to be there then there is no need. Ugh. It will be here before I know it.

It could be anywhere between a week to a month or so. I hope it's closer to the week but who knows. I'm trying not to be to nervous. Thanks for sending the positive energy.

Thinking about ya How'd it go? My Mr always says that the "meaner" the Board is to the inmate during the hearing, the more likely parole will be granted. So...I hope they were especially tough on your hubby today and we'll take that as a good sign
