Default What happens to mail returned to prison in Arizona?

Hi, when my bf was in reception at Alahambra he wrote me a letter but I never got it. There was a mix up with my P.O. Box and Iím afraid the other person return to sender. When the facility gets returned mail, does anyone know what happens to it? Iíve been trying to call the mail room there for weeks and either I get a voicemail and I leave a message or the phone just rings and rings. Iíve never gotten a call back

Feeling a little hopeless that it will be lost forever.

Since he was still in processing, hard to say. Once he is assigned to a prison, the mailroom may notify him so then he has the opportunity to claim it and resend it.

Unfortunately, mailroom rules vary greatly by facility and by who is in the mailroom at the time. It's an ongoing problem for all of us. I recently sent my son 2 postcards on the same day. One he got, one he didn't. It has my return address at the bottom but wasn't returned to me. After a month, we have given up on it ever reappearing.
