Post Can inmates sign up for PUA benefits?

Hello i was wondering would my boyfriend be able to sign up for the PUA Benefits in ca he worked last year buts considered self employed?

It’s an unemployment program for Cali.

I don’t think this is what the OP meant, but I guess most people making their living via crime are self employed? I was. The pay was great, but the price I paid was high.

IF its the stimulus checks...again probably not.

I agree. The stimulus was a somewhat mindless government giveaway. To "stimulate" the economy. Criteria being have you filed taxes. And if you didn't file taxes you could submit for it anyway.

Put another way the key criteria imposed by the geniuses in government amounted to do you have a pulse?

Unemployment was extended to self-employed. You explicitly have to be not "self-employed" due to the virus lockdowns. At least they have more solid criteria for that.
