Question Habitual Offender MS

Hello, my husband is currently incarcerated in MS. He was charged as a habitual offender and is not eligible for ERS time or parole. However, through all my online reading and research I have not seen anything that says he is not eligible for clemency (specifically commutation). Although I'm sure its highly unlikely, do you think its worth a try? Or might I even be able to try to see if he could serve his time at the local CWC? He was sentenced to 10 years, has 5 down and 5 to go. He hasn't been in any trouble or received any RVRs, has had his custody level changed to A(the lowest) and at the last facility he was in he held down a job. We have gotten married since he's been incarcerated. My daughter misses her dad so much. With the hab-off charge is there any chance or should I just accept that he will be there the remainder of his sentence?

Welcome to PTO~ You have a lot of support coming your way.

I'm sorry to say, honey, but the current governor has said "No Clemency". Looks like y'all are in it for the longhaul.

We're here for you, though.

Michele
