Post Ohio Pardon requests to governor keep on coming

Pardon requests to governor keep on coming

As his term nears an end, Strickland asked to consider clemency for nearly 950

Friday, October 8, 2010 04:49 AM

Nearing the end of his four-year term as governor, Ted Strickland is being flooded with requests to use his executive clemency power.
This year alone, Strickland's office has received 488 clemency requests - and the number is increasing daily. Add in pending requests from 2008 and 2009, and the governor has nearly 950 cases awaiting decisions only he can make.
There is often a rush of clemency requests near the end of a governor's time in office. Relying on the track record of past governors, applicants hope that an outgoing governor - or one entering a new term - will be more lenient than someone just starting out in office

So what do you think now.... New Gov. new year, My man requested clemancy in April this year and we have not heard anything yet. Should we expect it to take another year or to for an answer like Strickland did.... let them pile up till the end ?

Any answer at all would be greatly appreciated
We may not have it all together,
But together we have it all !
