Sauce pan recomendations?
I just tossed out most of my sauce pans. They served us well, but the non stick surface had begun to flake. Time for new pans.
My mom gave me some of her frying pans that are stainless steel, and are pretty but heavy. I like them well enough and thought I'd get two new sauce pans to semi match those.
I think the brand of fryers are Cusinart.
But not sure about getting the sauce pans. In comments Im reading, folks say not to use a high heat setting. Knowing this household......that wont happen.
Anyone have any suggestions? What brand. Glass lid, or solid lid? Pour spout thingy? or just fitted?
Any suggestions welcome.
(and no to a cast iron sauce pan. Ive got one and thats heavy enough)

I have a ceramic lined sauce pan with a glass lid (not sure of the brand) but I love it. It's my go-to. Nothing sticks and I use it to kill everything I cook with fire. Lol

Hub has one of those as well. Im thinking of getting another one (I think I got it at target for about 20-25 dollars) I like it because it has a pour spout on the side which is handy to drain as you can keep the lid on tight and the liquid still pours. Not like trying to do it with a pan and the lid askew. Half the time I spill either whatever Im pouring out and not into what Im pouring it into.
for reference.....that pot is my hubs. I very rarely use it. Its his pot, lol. Mostly uses it for his eggs in the morning. I will sneak using it while he's at work.

Watch Macy's sales. I got my mom a whole set last year for 60 dollars. It was a black Friday deal.

I would get a set but then I'd run into the same issue that I had. Too many! lol.
I still need to toss some of the things I have.
Just yesterday I got rid of a steamer. I rarely used it and I can just use a sauce pan, and the basket I have.

I like Calphalon, Cuisinart, and T-fal. All three have great saucepans.
I own a few of each but am saving to buy a Calphalon set of pots and pans.

ug, was bummed out yesterday. I had to go down to a nearby town for a hair cut (FINALLY) and thought well.......since Im down there, I'll hit up Kohls.
they had no individual items it was all sets.
So, maybe I'll try Macy's here.
Otherwise I'll have to go online to order stuff, which I'd rather not do. Need to see, feel and look at what I might want to buy. Sucks.

after hitting up a few stores, I said screw it. All of them either only had sets, or very limited supplies of single items (like saucepans) so I went online. Did Kohls. Ended up spending an ok amount for 2 saucepans and a kitchen knife set for my grandsons' mom. All under a hundred dollars. Not cheap, but hopefully worth it.

Well I wont get to use them this year....at least not for Thankgiving, but hopefully by Christmas. The clerks were saying they have not been able to get stock, so I know at least one of the pans I ordered may be backlogged. Oh well. We will make due til then. Hubby things Im gonna wait til Christmas to open them. hahahaha, silly man.

anyone has tried or have at home the Chrissy Teigen Cookware? She sells them in a set but I'm not able to get them in Panama... only Target but they don't ship to a freight fowarder address... Need new pots & pans, my old ones from Ikea have paid their dues.. and honestly, before moving back to Germany I'm throwing out a lot more than coming in..

Ive not checked it out. I saw all sorts of brands. But I dont think I saw that one. Bummer Target wont ship them.
Alot of my old ones have served me well. Trying to remember how old they are. At least 20 yrs old, probably more. So it was time.

yea me.......I was not sure if I would have to reorder that 2qt pan or if they got it in, they'd send it when it came in.
Well it should arrive next week, so Im stoked about that.
Have not used the one I got yet, due to leftover turkey, and trying to use it up.
Made soup (sort of) out of the bones and leftover bits. Added what I cut off, some veg and rice and ta da....soup.
Son had 3 bowls last night! hahaha so I guess it was edible.
