The day before election day, we had to put our very old Labrador down. He had been struggling with his back legs, then he fell in the back yard and couldn't get up again. Unable to use his back legs, we had to call it.
In a way, I'm glad it came down to this, since it made for a very clear cut decision. But he is missed terribly.
This is the first time in 28 years that I haven't had a dog in the house. It's very odd.

Oh Ginger, Im so sorry. Its the right call to make but that does not make it an easy one.
I only managed like 9 months without a dog. In some ways, I wished I'd waited. But with covid and lockdowns, I was pretty lonely.
Rip Dudley. Run and play at the rainbow bridge.

God bless Dudley. He's been a good dog....best friend that I ever had. If I die before I wake, feed Dudley. He's in a better place. Nobody knows it but the one thing Dudley wanted to see happen more than anything was to see Donald Duck defeated in that there race presidential and.....and Dudley prayers were answered.

Ginger, I'm so sorry about Dudley. All of my furry friends were always family to me. I don't know what else to say because losing them always hurts. BIG HUG.
