Question Found Not Guilty....????

I know this thread will be moved to the right spot, I just didnt know where to put it! I have an unusual question about being found not guilty, say casey was found not guilty on his new charge and he was still in prison because of an ALLEGED Parole Violation...what would happen with that??? He wasnt found not guilty of the parole violation, so does that mean they have to let him go???? I would figure that they would, please Help!!! Im so lost right now, Im about to drive up to jackson and prison break him lol

We were told by the parole officer that if you are put back in for a parole violation, even if you end up being found not guilty at trial, you may still have to serve time for the parole violation, you just won't get more time for a new charge. Something about it being because you can plea bargain the charges down or whatever.

Sorry, I'm afraid you may have to just wait and see what happens. That is the hardest part of all of this to me, not being able to have any control.

I didn't know you had a choice to plead guilty or not guilty or anything else to a parole violation. I thought the parole officer/their supervisor just decides if they are going to violate you or not.

I've never dealt with it though so maybe I misunderstood.

I dont know, they ask them what they plead and then the parole board recommends something, He has a parole lawyer, which cost a fortune, so im assuming he will do something for the sake of me and him lol! Im just praying hard this time! Im not too sure though, you may be right, a violation is a violation, Im sure they give them a chance to talk though, im so confused!

Even if someone is violated they have a right to a trial so that they can state their side of things. Most of the time it doesn't matter much. it does largely depend on the PO.

I wish you luck! Take care!
