Probably a stupid question, but what are some reasons this may have happened? I'm concerned for my friend who is incarcerated here as no letter today. :-(

I know that they locked down on and off for two days prior to the 19th because the facility was fixing a water issue and my LO said that there was no water or air and things were extremely tense. I've gotten two letters, one last Tuesday that said there had been disturbances in all of the buildings and that they had brought in extra support staff, and one on Thursday that said that they were locked down indefinitely, and that I would not hear from him again until they were let back up because that was his last stamp and there was no commissary for him to get more. He said that things had calmed down, but I'm assuming that this is all due to the disturbance that took place. Unless someone knows more I'm going to go with that, if nothing else to make myself feel better.

thank you! :-). this is my first lockdown and I'm a natural worrier so I've been worrying myself sick. I've gotten two letters, but when I didn't get one today and then read about no visitation, I kinda panicked. Probably silly, but true.

It seems like there have been disturbances and the facility has been without water. My friend is headed there in the near future and I am hoping things settle down.
Lets hope the lock down and visit suspension is short lived.

Who cares what they say about us? Because when I am with you I am standing with an army.
They didn't have water for 2-3 days but I believe as of last Saturday it was back in but they are still locked down. When I called down there last weekend, they said the water was back on. I don't know if they are just telling us that to keep us calm or what. I haven't heard from my husband since the 19th which is when they went on lockdown. He sent me a quick email to let me know that they are being locked down.

Yes they have water now, the letter I got on Thursday said that the water was back on but they couldn't drink it only bird bath with it, that they were getting bottled water to drink. What upsets me the most is as of the last letter they aren't getting commissary, so he couldn't get more stamps. I've been dropping a letter most everyday, even though I know he can't write back, this isn't our first time (well it's the first time federal, hopefully last) and I know how he gets without communication from us...lol
Well thank God they have water at least. My husband was telling me that people were using the restroom in the toilets and weren't able to flush. Gross!! I was stressing about the water. Praying the lockdown is lifted soon. I wonder why the water isn't drinkable?
I got a call and emails today!!!! I thought I was going to burst into tears when I heard my friend's voice. It sounds like things are getting back to normal now.

Is Visitation still suspended...at the camp? Today is 2/3/17
Hi! I'm going to visit my man in a couple weeks and I haven't heard from him since Monday, but was wondering if Visitation was still suspended or has it been lifted? He is at the camp.
My son will be headed to Beaumont FCI-MED, how is this place? Do they go on lockdown alot? What days are visits? I see where the web site says no visitation until further notice?
Any info would be nice, thank you

Lockdowns are fairly common
They have just changed visits to the even/odd schedule which I can't for the life of me figure out- so once he is there he will know. It is Saturday and Sunday only though. They haven't had visitation for about 2 months though. I'm finally getting to go the 18th.
