Default Looking for Gene Ford, last (2 yrs ago) known to be at San Quentin

Hi!
I am looking for a friend--Gene Ford, would be about fortyish today. He is an African-American, a very good poet, and a drummer. Last I saw him was some ten yrs in Santa Cruz, he is supposed to be in for a bank robbery, plus who-knows-what. So far I have not been able to find him--I don't know his SS# and/or DOB.
Wrote to the warden and the chaplain at SQ, but no feedback.
Any information will be appreciated.
Thanks, Mr. Jan (Yon) Hearthstone.

Have you tried using the inmate search/finder on your state's DOC website? Many of the websites have that feature. You can search by his last name, his birthdate, or his inmate number. Since you know his name, and can guess his approx. age you can probally narrow down the choices if more then one "Gene Ford" shows up. Some websites even have a picture on file. If the search says there isnt anyone by that name, thenYou should also try just typing in his last name because Gene could be a nic-name or his middle name or something...

CA doesn't work that way. You can call the phone number, give all the info you have, why you are trying to find him and hope they give it to you. I was able to get the doc# for my guy's cellie's mother in CA from them. You have to have the DOC number to write in CA and you can't get it online like other states.

try BOP.com--------that lists the federal prisoners, & if he was involved in a bank robbery, he's probably federal.

Dear Kbmmc,
I tried the California DOC site, but without my friends DOB I cannot get information.
Thanks, Hearthstone.

Tried them, but at best, from what I gathered from their site, he was released some time back, if his name is James, which I doubt.
Thanks anyhow!
Hearthstone.

Default hope this helps

To locate an inmate within the California Department of Corrections, please call (916) 445-6713, which is available 24 hours a day. You must have either the inmate's CDC number, or the inmate's full name and date of birth to receive information. The Inmate Locator/ID Warrants will provide an inmate's location, mailing addresses and relevant phone numbers. The Inmate Locator/ID Warrants will not provide any future release date information. Please note that for new or transferring inmates it can take up to seven business days to update location information.

Have you tried this??????

No; About a year ago I wrote to the chaplain there, but he never answered.

I don't know Gene's (Gino's, Jean's) DOB, SS#, nor any other official designators.

One thing about Gene tho'--he is a great writer of poems, maybe he's into rap now--last I saw him was more than ten years ago ...

Privite eyes would find him, but they cost, even though I don't doubt their integrity.

Thanks, Hearthstone.

If we, the people, were really sincere about us wanting Peace, then we would spend more on actively creating Peace than what we spend on the military.
