Clarinda can i send someone a bass tabs book and cd?

Hi, my husband is in Clarinda Correctional Facility. I have sent him Guitar tabs books before however now he has a cd player and i would like to surprise him with a book and play along cd. However, I'm not sure if I can send a cd or not. Like I know they have to order music cds through the prison but this goes with a guitar book lesson. I don't want to ask him and ruin the surprise. So I'm seeing if Anyone may have the answers first. Thank you for any info you can give.

Could you call the mail room and ask? Can you order it from Amazon instead of mailing it in, would that be more acceptable to the facility?

I'm thinking if the inmates have to order CDs themselves, most likely they're not going to allow you to send that one even if it is part of a whole.
