Default Injured Army vet sues city over post siezure arrest

Im really upset to read this story.

https://www.pressdemocrat.com/news/9...ran-sues-santa

Imagine regaining consciousness with a dark-colored sack over your head, arms and legs restrained and unclear how you ended up that way.
That is how Santa Rosa resident Andy Ford, a U.S. Army veteran with a brain injury suffered while serving in Afghanistan, recalls emerging from an incapacitating seizure he experienced in public in February 2018.
He discovered he was in police custody at Sutter Medical Center’s emergency room. He was confused and ashamed. He said he felt he had been betrayed.
Santa Rosa officers had mistaken his seizure symptoms as signs of intoxication and disobedience, according to Ford.

Im spitting mad. Just fired up.
(truth when I looked a the story and the name I at first thought it was one of my son's friends. Its not)
Im STILL pissed. I hope he wins his suit. BIG TIME. So typical of LE. Even after being INFORMED of his status (seizures) they still ignored it. Dont know if he had a medical id card/bracelet or necklace but one would think an emt familiar with is history would help)
Such bs.

I agree about LE sometimes. I got pulled over once (with several agencies behind me) because an officer looked at my plate through his mirror and read a number backwards and the car was supposedly reported stolen. As soon as they got the registration and our ID's they knew it wasn't but they continued to search. Of course they initially lied about the cause of the stop. Even after 45 minutes of searching, with a dog mind you they decided the only thing they found was hubby's license were suspended (He'd hit a deer and the insurance company screwed up to the bmv and we had no idea).

At the time of the stop we were headed to a hotel to celebrate our anniversary. Even after all of that they called the hotel to make sure that we went where we said we were going!

Keep in mind this was long before our current situation.... neither of us had any kind of criminal history at all.

Hopefully the involvement of the Paramedic (ignored by the police) will win his case against the government. Any contact with the police, legitimate or contrived, can quickly turn dangerous, even deadly for the "suspect".
