He died
i went to visit today and he looked bad. i called the day captain and told them he needed to be in the hospital. they said he needed to put in a sick call. well he did.
just thought id let you know. i guess we can close my account now. having yall got me thru it. But he is free now.

The sad thing is his family never visited except his mom before she died. All 12 years was the only one.

The crazy thing is all my husband's buddies inside had their wives contact me and one even came to sit at the funeral home with me. ...The people that I've told all have said, " you don't need to be by yourself..." The thing is, this journey was just me and him together doing it our way on our terms, alone.
My husband was at peace, he knew he was loved, he knew who cared for him and he knew who was waiting for him.
I don't regret a thing. Yall were instrumental in keeping me sane. i will keep you posted.
