Angry US MARSHALS drop the ball, not transporting in time for hearing?

Has anyone ever experienced the Marshals not transporting in time for a hearing? Judge ordered over a month ago that the Marshals transport my husband from CA to WA for his hearing and have him there no later than.....long story short Marshals contacted court and said we can't him there in time....sorry. He has been stuck at holding facility for 3 weeks. The Marshals have dropped the ball over and over again. Plane broke down, pilot sick.....blah blah blah. So hearing has been pushed back 3 more weeks and new order states Marshals better have him there in 2 weeks and that air transport is not required. UGH!!!! Rant over.

That has to be frustrating and creates extra anxiety. if your husband's security level is low enough, his lawyer can ask the judge to order a furlough. I'm not positive the judge has the power over the BOP to have this demand granted, but they might have the power over the US Marshals. The purpose of the hearing, your husband's past record and his BOP history would all come into play. Of course, he would have to have the funds for the furlough.

If a furlough is unrealistic, the defense attorney can still try to have the judge put the Marshals on notice. Again, the purpose of the hearing will come into play.
