WU before you self-surrender?

I'm hearing conflicting information about this one. I want to WU me $300 for my account the night before I self-surrender, but I've heard people say you can't do that because they will not accept the funds unless you're already in custody. Anyone deal with this before?

Good news, the $300 was sent with no issues. The lady that helped me at the WU desk had sent money to the FBOP before.

Yes, I have heard this is true. In my son's case, we Western Union'd his money the same day that he self surrendered, and continue to do this monthly as per his request with money he saved before the self-surrender. Do you have family or friends who can do the same for you on the day you SS?
