Self surrender

I just go my designation letter for my self surrender to federal prison. Most people I have spoken to said they got the option of surrendering directly to a prison. My letter has no mention of this and just has details of when and where to surrender to the MARSHALS OFFICE.

Am wondering why they haven’t let me surrender directly to the prison.
A bit worried about what this could mean for me in terms of transport. Does it mean diesel therapy? Anything I can do about this?
