Writing to Germany ??

Hello,

There is a friend that is in Germany prison
Unfortunately at the moment I'm unable to do enough research to send him a book,
How proper & easy is it to do this?.

I have read on german websites Buch an den Gefangenen schicken
But not much can I find atm ::/

I'm not sure if that is allowed it's not that easy like in the US (sending books)!

Do you have the JVA (Jusitzvollzugsanstalt) then I could look up if I can find any information on this, if you've issues with our language (German).

Maybe ask your friend in the prison to find out where you can send books from. Maybe he/she could ask an officer. There is an Amazon site in Germany maybe the prison would accept books from there?

If you still need help feel free to write me. I am from Germany. But its true you have to asked your friend in prison. bec it depends on the prison. and if they person can get books. It can be that thes can receive it from Amazon but it can be too that they are only allowed to get it from for example thalia.de which is a german book store. but all that depends on which prison he/she is and IF she/he is allowed to get books.
